WebCharts
3D features
·
2- and 3- dimensional charts including bar, column,
cone, cylinder, cone/cut, cylinder/cut, line, area, scatter,
curve, surface, bubble, ring, pie, Gantt, candle, stock,
floating bars, histogram, profile, timeline, and distribution.
Different styles can be assigned to the different data series
to create the combination charts. The charts support multiple
axes; normal, arithmetic and geometric logarithmic scales;
default, stacked, clustered and percent placement modes;
twelve (12) different marker types; data scrolling;
interactivity; multiple gradient painting styles; background
images; single- and multi-line labels.
·
Editable grid and heat-map controls. The table controls
support resizable/movable/sortable columns and rows; single
(row/column/cell) and multiple (row/column/cell) selections in
the Windows- and Unix-compatible modes; automatic or
user-defined row/column label and element sizes and multiple
cell renderers, editors, and preferences objects.
·
ADO, ODBC/JDBC, EXCEL and url/text files data
connectivity. Retrieve data from these data sources, implement
pagination, and perform searches using parameterized SQL
queries. Update the contents of the charts and grids with or
without refreshing the page when the new results are received
from the server. Develop the pages entirely in Visual Studio
.NET, FrontPage, InterDev, or ColdFusion Studio to avoid
writing a single line of code while performing complex data
drill-downs!
.
Applet rendering. The
chart or table rendered as an applet in a web page or used as
.NET Component, Active/X or Java Bean component gives the
end-user maximum flexibility. The attributes, including fonts,
formats and other chart's and table's styles can be modified
by the end-user. In addition to the OnClick event supported by
both applets and images, the applets provide OnChange,
OnRowLabelClick and OnColLabel click events. You can easily
process the events by implementing event handlers.
·
Interactive server-generated image (JPEG, PNG, GIF,
WBMP, SVG, SWF, or custom) rendering. Image server components
(ASP, .NET and JSP) create the images on the fly and deliver
it as a byte stream or as a reference with the image map. You
can control the image caching policies, including image
expiration interval (time after which the image is considered
invalid), cache location (disk or memory), resource pool
management, and garbage collection rules. The expired images
are automatically removed from the cache and the files are
deleted from the disk. Develop the pages using Microsoft®
Visual Studio .NET, FrontPage®, Visual InterDev or ColdFusion
Studio to be able to switch between applets and images by
clicking on a combo-box!
·
WebCharts 3D Design-Time Control and wizards that can
be used with Visual Studio .NET, FrontPage, InterDev and
ColdFusion studio. These plug-ins allows you to create the
pages in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) mode, cut,
paste, move, resize the charts and the grids, bind them to the
data sources, specify the chart's presentation attributes,
define event handlers and choose how to present the charts and
grids. The plug-ins produce the HTML/ASP/JSP/CFM/.NET code
based on your selection according to the template files
provided with the product. The WYSIWYG approach reduces the
learning curve and enables a developer to start using the
product immediately after the installation!
·
WebCharts 3D API and XML formats. WebCharts 3D use XML
as the native format for both the presentation attributes and
the contents. The XML representations of the attributes and
contents make this product ideal for the web environment, and
a set of powerful API functions and events give the developer
full control over the charts behavior. You can use XML or
employ the API functions to specify/modify the styles and data
or/and process the end-user events both on the client and on
the server side.
·
Platform and Software Image Rendering modes.
WebCharts3D can use platform's GUI API or built-in modules to
render the image. The Software rendering modules produce
images faster than the native API, and these images look the
same regardless of the environment. WebCharts3D is the
industry's only product that can produce high-quality charts
on Linux/Solaris platform without requiring an X display or a
virtual frame buffer, by using Software rendering mode.
